COVID-19 Guidelines
Daufenbach Camera wants to insure a continued safe work environment for the Chicago Production Community. To do that and hopefully prevent any shutdowns we are following all safety guidelines and protocols as mandated by city, state, and federal orders. In keeping with the PERG, (ESTA) Safe Return to Work Guidelines: Precautions for Preventing Transmission of Covid-19 for Camera and Lighting Rental Operations, Sound Stages, and Production Vehicles. We ask that you follow the following guidelines.
Basic Guidelines
Pick ups, returns and prep times will be scheduled in advance.
Pick ups will be done at the Daufenbach Camera loading dock, unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Returns will be done at the Daufenbach Camera loading dock.
Call up when you arrive via phone or the back dock buzzer and an employee will come out for the gear transfer.
Loading in and out of rental gear
Pick ups: For gear that has not been prepped by production, rental house employees will bring the gear to the loading dock and set it out for production to load into their vehicle. When gear has been prepped by production, the gear will be brought down to the dock by production and loaded into their vehicle. A rental employee will be there to assist in the operation of the elevator.
Returns: Production will load gear from their vehicle onto the dock where a rental employee will take it inside for sanitation and check-in. Rental employees will not accept production owned gear at return: AC bags, carts, etc.
