Inventory and Procurement Supervisor

This position takes full responsibility for the management and quality of the Daufenbach Cameras inventory systems, including procurement, purchase orders, maintaining the accuracy of the POS system, Loss and Damage processes, analyzing inventory levels, and maintaining open to buy.

As a new position within Daufenbach Camara, the individual in this role will be instrumental in defining it.  This individual will need to be both analytical and reflective.   Able to identify issues and opportunities, create processes and procedures to improve workflow and implement across the business, and gain buy-in from fellow employees.  The right individual will be an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities:

Inventory

  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the R2 inventory/rental system.

  • Create and implement processes and procedures for more optimal workflows and accuracy.

  • Manage the Loss and Damage process, acting as a conduit between sales and service.  

  • Manage yearly and monthly physical inventory counts.

  • Maintain pricing and replacement costs.

  • Maintain inventory naming functions.

  • Analyze inventory activity and ROI, make recommendations towards selling and purchasing items.

  • Responsible for the consignment program.  Manage inventory, track consignor rentals, report on rentals for both company and consignee.  

  • Responsible for the Sub Rental Process.  

  • Create, maintain, and run maintenance on all inventory reporting needs.

Procurement

  • Responsible for the Purchase order process, both creating and receiving.

  • Manage vendor purchase relationships.

  • Work closely with Service’s needs on parts and procure.

  • Manage OTB and report on status.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Cross Train on Shipping and Receiving

  • Cross Train on Quality Control

Reporting Lines:

  • This position directly reports to the General Manager.

  • The position often interacts with the Service Department and Shipping and Receiving.

  • The position currently has no direct reports.  Future direct reports would include

    • Shipping and Receiving

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a like position with gradually increased responsibilities.

  • Skilled knowledge and experience creating and implementation inventory processes and procedures.

  • Processes good written and verbal communication skills to interact with co-workers, clients, and vendors.

  • 3-5 Years in the Camera Industry with a working knowledge of the industry and equipment.

  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Excel.

  • R2 Rental Inventory Software experience preferred.

  • Processes high attention to detail and must be well organized and process-driven.

  • Self Motivated and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs

Renewal:

This role and the responsibilities under it are subject to change.  The role will be amended during the evaluation process bi-yearly to account for such changes and realign success measures.
